Frequently Asked Questions
Who can sign the petition?
Only registered voters who live in District 3 and were registered to vote as of January 1, 2025 can sign. Your signature must be physical – electronic signatures are not accepted.
Does signing mean I'm voting for Robin?
No. Signing only means you support giving voters more choices on the ballot. You're free to vote for any candidate in November.
Why does Robin need signatures when party candidates don't?
North Carolina law requires independent candidates to gather signatures to qualify for the ballot, while party-endorsed candidates automatically qualify.
Why meet a higher bar to run?
The bar for ballot eligibility for an independent candidate is much higher, but the party systems nominate and endorse along partisan lines. While the people nominate and endorse the independent reflecting real choice.
How do I know if I'm eligible to sign?
You are eligible to sign if you are a registered voter residing in District 3 and were registered as of January 1, 2025.
How do I check if I live in District 3?
You can look up your City Council district by address using the Charlotte GIS tool at http://apps.meckboe.org/addressSearch_New.aspx. Our volunteers can also help look up your district onsite.
How do I check if I'm registered to vote and if my registration was active as of January 1, 2025?
You can confirm your voter registration status with the state of North Carolina at https://vt.ncsbe.gov/RegLkup/. Our volunteers can also help verify at in-person events.

Will You Stand With Me?
This is a campaign built from the ground up—by neighbors, not parties. And like every good community effort, it starts with one ask:
Will you stand with me and help get this campaign on the ballot?
I'll carry the work forward—but it begins with your signature. Let's make something different and better happen this next election!
With appreciation and hope for representation and a future deserving of the people of District 3.
